BD2500 Belt Expanding Tool

BD2500 Carried in Platton spares box, this tool was for expanding the pockets in the belt which often contracted through damp or being wet and thus allowed the rounds to be inserted to the correct depth.

These xamples are genuine, and are of the type which were issued during WW1 and carried on in service through WW2
