Vickers WW1 Machine gunners Waistcoat

These waistcoats were used by Vickers Mchine Gunners who carried the tripod and gun, and also Lewis gunners amongst others. The waistcoat helped protect the mens shoulders from the hot barrels and also aided the carrying of the guns and Vickers tripods as the shoulder pads prevented slippage. Unissued condition, genuine item, guaranteed not reproduction. Purchased in Belgium.
