Vickers throw away ammo box for 250 round belt of ammunition. In use from the second half of WW2, often seen in Europe after D-Day. This example is the WW2 pattern but is dated 1950. The labels are identical to WW2 but have post 1950 use by dates. Overall near unissued condition and has its lid seal. One side has repainted black (that side shown in photo) which does not detract from appearance.
These boxes have always been hard to get hold of as they were usually thrown away rather than refilled
Photo shows the actual box that will be sent.
