The SMLE, one of the all time classic historic rifles, used throughout WW1 and, in some theatres of war, WW2. This was the rifle of the 'Mad minute', 20 rounds a minute or more by soldiers who knew how to shoot.
Genuine Enfield manufactured SMLE MK111, fitted with Mk111* woodwork, rear sight has the early windage adjustment but locked during WW1 for use by the soldiers who came through after 1914 who had not had the depth of training received by the regulars of the original BEF. Retains magazine cut-off and piling swivel, forestock Enfield cypher marked, includes sling.
Good condition overall, Blued items retain finish but mostly worn due to use. Wood is in decent condition but has marks/dinks from use in two wars.
EU 2018 spec deac so trigger not connected to sear, bolt moves but cannot be removed. Deactivated in our own Workshops. Comes with 2018 EU Spec proof house deactivation certificate
