The Heckler and Koch G3 was largley designed by CETME in co-operation with H&K Spain and manufactured in Germany and under licence in Portugal by FMP. The G3 has been called the 'AK47 of the west' as it has seen prolific use around the world including with UK special forces. The Portuguese made G3's were often used in Africa, most notably with the Selous scouts.
This example was manufactured in April 1969 by FMP. Overall good conditioin but has seen use so finish faded/missing in places. Mag is a little tight to remove. Cocking handle moves on bolt section under spring prerssure, partially field strips (butt can be removed, TMH (Trigger Mechanism Housing) tips down), Moving fire selector and trigger.
