3" Mortar, 1944 (AD32

3" Mortar MkIV dated 1944 on early war baseplate, standard bipod dated 1943. This is the last one of the batch with bases and bipods. This one has a few faults hence the lower price, these are:

  • Baseplate has rus pitting and appears to have been perhaps buried at some point
  • Bipod elevation screw does not retract the last inch or so
  • Dial sight bracket is genuine but fittings have been reproduced, cross level knob turns but is non functioning the internal screw gear being replaced with a dummy
  • At some point work had begun to convert the barrel to an APL and some of the cuts had been made, these have been welded up, ground down and handfiled but some marks from thsi process can be discerned on close examination

Cleaned, prepped and sprayed, ready to display.

Deactivated in our own workshop to 2010 spec in 2019 as per Home Office specification as mortars were not included in the EU specification. Comes with Birmingham Proof House certificate.

This item is marked as not available to post, but this can be discussed if there is no possibility of the customer collecting, but it will not be cheap as will have to go in 3 boxes!

Important Note regarding the Euro 2016 Specification:

Support weapons are not included in the Euro+ 2016 specification and the Home Office has instructed that they are to be deactivated to the 2010 UK specification, so there is no change on these.
