DW Ortgies Pocket Pistol (AD29 DA0090) EU Spec Deactivation

Heinrich Ortgies designed the pistol while living in Li?ge, Belgium;during World War I. After the war, he moved to Erfurt, Germany, where in 1919 he commenced production of the pistol in his own factory. The weapons bore the mark "Ortgies Erfurt" on their slides and a circular brass insert in their grips marked with a stylized "HO." Ortgies died later that year, and eventually production of his pistol passed to Deutsche Werke.

At the time of writing this description their is a holster for this pistol advertised on another website with WW2 German markings so it appears they were used by the German forces in that conflict.

The pistol was well made, and designed to minimise dirt ingress, one of its almost unique points is that no screw are involved in it's assembly, something it shares with the C96 (although that has one for the grips), and was available in 6.35, 7.65mm and 9mm short.

Condition good, retains almost all finish, there are only a couple of very small marks from use.

This is a scarce pistol, Rarely seen up for sale before as a deac.

Comes with 2018 EU standard deactivation certificate, photo shows actual item that will be sent.
