Pistols of all kinds, revolvers, automatics, fully deactivated with certificates:
-Not for now no, Why? See below:
We are currently unable to sell deactivated weapons due to the insane knee jerk reaction of the European Union. While the mechanism to create an actual offence in the UK has yet to become law as part of the Policing and Crime bill the situation is unclear as technically the EU regulation automatically becomes law on the 8th April, as we have no wish to risk an European Arrest Warrant and have been unable as I write this to contact our local firearms Department, I feel the safest thing is to cease sales of these unless the situation becomes more certain.
The situation at present is a complete mess and there will remain problems in the future due to the wording of the aforementioned C&P Bill which requires only deactivated weapons which are sold, gifted or transferred to comply to the current EU spec, so if that spec changes? Which it may well do if Ms Vicky Ford MEP gets her way and if (big if) the British standard is recognised by the EU (unlikely that pre 1995 old spec's will be allowed though)how will they change the law for that.
We cannot deactivate anything new at present as we do not have a standard to work to, and even when we do that could well change as the EU has been tasked with re-examining the EU deactivation standard which is lower than the UK's (but in some respects more draconian such as fully welded MG's and making pistols and SMG's/MG's etc so that they cannot be field stripped) and not fit for purpose (for example it requires the TIG welding of plastic, Aluminium and brass and using case hardened rods and stainless steel weld, all of which are incompatible with each other, this is what happens when people who know nothing think they don't need experts).
Hopefully all will be clear by early 2017, and of course Brexit could help, so until then (or earlier of we got out of the EU in June Perhaps) no deac's from us I am afraid, except mortars as they are not covered by the EU spec and so can continue as they were. Hopefully we'll still be around in 2017, so all purchases of Non deac items from here and from Sentimental Journey gratefully received!
